WaiverNorth covers the whole life of a waiver. Guests sign on their phone or at a kiosk, your staff find and check them in on the day, and every signed copy stays on record in Canada for your retention period. Here is what every account includes.
Signing pages
A clean, mobile-first form on your own WaiverNorth address, with your logo and colour. Guests sign with a finger or type their name, then confirm their email address, and the signed PDF follows as an attachment. If you accept guests under your age of majority, the form asks for a parent or guardian to sign.
Offline kiosk
Install the kiosk on any tablet from the browser, including older iPads (iPadOS 15.4 and later). It keeps accepting waivers without a connection. Each waiver is encrypted on the tablet before it is stored, and the queue uploads on its own when the connection returns, so a record is never lost. If an admin disconnects a tablet, the waivers it still holds upload the next time it is online and wait for an admin's decision before they count as valid. Kiosks are unlimited on every plan.
Evidence and records
Every published version of your waiver is locked and fingerprinted. Each signed waiver becomes a PDF with a signing record page and its own SHA-256 hash. Stored files are locked against editing and deletion until your retention period ends: 7 years after signing by default, set per company, with "keep permanently" as an option. A second copy is kept in a separate Canadian region. An audit trail shows who viewed, downloaded or changed what, and when.
Find and check in
Results appear as you type. The search matches the guest's first and last name, email, booking number, waiver number, tags and date of birth. Open any signed waiver's PDF right in the console, or download it. Check guests in on the day, add notes and tags, void a waiver with a reason, and export to CSV or download the PDFs at any time. Your records stay yours.
Your brand on every guest email
The confirmation email and the signed copy carry your logo, come from your company name, and replies go to your own address. Your privacy policy is linked on the signing page, on the kiosk and in every guest email.
Share link and QR code
Every waiver has a signing link and a QR code, ready to paste into booking confirmations, add to your website or print for the front desk. Download the code as SVG or PNG from your dashboard.
Switching from Smartwaiver
We move your full history for you, free on every plan: the original signed PDFs byte for byte, signing dates and times, signature images, participants, answers and tags. Imported waivers are marked as imported, never count toward your monthly limit, and are reconciled against Smartwaiver's own counts. You give us an API key and keep your Smartwaiver account until the import is confirmed. How the two compare.
Integrations
On Pro and Business, your booking system can create prefilled signing links through the API, so guests only confirm their details and sign. Webhooks tell your other systems the moment a waiver is signed.
Admin security
Admins sign in with a password or a magic link plus a code from an authenticator app. Staff can search and open waivers, download a single PDF, check guests in, and add notes and tags. Exporting data, voiding a waiver and resending a signed copy are separate permissions an admin grants per person. Staff cannot change the waiver text, the settings or the team. Every view, download and change is written to the audit trail.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I change my waiver text after guests have signed?
Yes. Editing creates a new version, and only new signings use it. Every existing waiver stays tied to the exact version its guest agreed to, so older records never change.
